Dorcas Malefeste

Dorcas Malefetse is the Managing Director of Thatego Holdings, a Soweto-born company specializing in landscaping, land rehabilitation and mining, sports field and turfs, as well as civil works services. Dorcas’ higher education comprised of a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting and a Horticulture certificate from the University of South Africa (UNISA), as well as graduating from Jo-Anne Hillier Landscape Consults Center. Dorcas has had an entrepreneurial spirit from a young age. She used to rush home from school each day to help her mom sell braai mielies to the local community. This ambition has helped build her company from the ground up. Thatego Holdings started off with 5 staff members and 1 client, and now almost 20 years later has a complement of 92 full time staff members.
