Fahad Aziz is currently working at Umvoto Africa as a Junior Water and Environmental Scientist. He holds his Master’s in Environmental and Geographical Sciences from the University of Cape Town. Fahad’s thesis investigated the use of telemetry-based, high-resolution sensors to monitor water level and water quality in an urban river to inform stormwater management. Before joining Umvoto, Fahad was an Intern in the Catchment, Stormwater and River Management Branch of the City of Cape Town working on projects such as the Liveable Urban Waterways Programme and various pollution abatement plans. He is currently working on surface water quality analysis in the Cape Flats Aquifer to better understand surface and groundwater interactions in the area.
