Paula Hay is a community planner and facilitator dedicated to working with Indigenous and local communities. Paula applies her academic background (a Master’s in Social Anthropology from the University of Cape Town and a Master’s in Community and Regional Planning from the University of British Columbia) with her passion for inclusive, community-driven planning. Paula has worked in areas land use planning, health and environmental research, and disaster risk reduction. She has worked with communities in Southern and Central Africa and Indigenous groups across Canada, as well as local and regional governments, non-profit organizations, academic institutions, and the private sector. She has supported a variety of community development, governance, participatory research, monitoring and evaluation, and education projects involving multiple and diverse stakeholders.
